Every developer knows the feeling: five tabs open, three different answers, and a nagging doubt about which one is current. Over the years I have settled on a method that gets me to reliable answers quickly, and it works for juniors and seniors alike.
Read the official docs second, not first
Counterintuitive but effective: skim a recent tutorial first to learn the shape of the solution, then verify it against the official documentation. The tutorial teaches vocabulary, the docs teach truth. Skipping either step is where the bugs come from.
Check the date, then check the version
An answer from two years ago may describe an API that no longer exists. I check the publication date, then confirm the documented version matches the one in the project. Version mismatches explain a remarkable share of mysterious errors.
