Moda Boutique
overview
Moda is an independent boutique whose customers discover outfits on social media but bought through a generic mobile site. I built a lookbook-style app where stylists publish outfits as stories, every item is tappable, and checkout finishes in the same place the browsing started.
challenge
Fashion shoppers are ruthless about friction: slow images, forced accounts and surprise shipping costs all kill sales. The boutique also drops small weekly collections, so new stock had to appear in the app the moment it lands in store.
approach
I built the catalogue on a headless commerce API with guest checkout, added lookbook stories compiled by the stylists themselves, and set up push alerts for restocks and collection drops. Images use progressive loading so browsing feels instant on the high street 4G.
